Story Time Again

Just in case you thought I was exaggerating about the library story time thing last week, the Kensington Blog has done a post on it.

See, I told you so! I did not go back this week, so I didn't witness the story time security guard. Oh, the drama.

Loved your details about last week's story time! I blogged about it, too, and sent the tip to Kensington(Brooklyn). I was happy to see your comment. I thought it was just me who thought story time had gotten out of control.

My family and I (hubbie and 18-month-old) moved to the neighborhood this summer, too (in May). We're really enjoying the area, and I promise: story time hasn't always been so crazy. It's gotten increasingly popular since we started going in early fall/summer. They're on a break for now, and will start up again Nov. 13th. If you can stand getting there ahead of time (and how hard is that with kids to get out of the house?), it's worth getting the free ticket.

Good luck!

you know part of the problem is the daycare schools come and bring sometimes 10 kids,,its not fair to allow them in

I don't know about that - I think the daycare kids should be allowed to have storytime, too. It would be great if the library had a bigger room so that everyone could attend.

I don't know if we'll try again for the next session or not; we've been crazy busy lately anyway.

the library can only handle about 30 kids i think, its not really their fault, they did a good job and got bit in the butt for it
